Let’s help each other with Hidradenitis Suppurativa

Hello all,

I want to thank you all for checking out my site. Hidradenitis Suppurativa is a very painful skin condition that not only has a physical effects, but a mental effect as well. Most people think that they are alone when dealing with Hidradenitis. I am here to tell you that you are not alone.

I as well as my sister have dealt with this condition for many, many years. It has effected our everyday lives, from small things like having to replace ruined clothing from the excessive draining, to not being able to move enough to get ourselves dressed in the morning.

My sister has had at least five (5) surgeries to treat Hidradenitis Suppurativa . She still experiences a few breakouts here an there but nothing like they used to be. I have only had two(2) surgeries to date, but I am hoping to have a few more in the next year to treat a few more areas.

For many years we went to doctors only to get bogus information; things like, “you need to keep yourself cleaner” to “you have very severe acne and need to see a dermatologist”. I have been to so many doctors and taken so many antibotics, they no long work as fast as they once did.

My expectations for this site is to help other people understand the pain and fear that alot of us have, dealing with Hidradenitis Suppurativa is a very hard situation to deal with, and I hope that we can all come together and learn from each other. Please feel free to post your stories and methods for pain relief we can all use the help.

Until next time

Tamikka
