Hidradenitis Suppurativa

Hidradenitis Suppurativa, has been a very painful, debilitating, extremely gross thing for me to deal with. Sense childhood I have always had boils that were painful but went away with no issues, 

Around the age of 30, is when I stated to have the golf ball sized, very painful abscess that refused to go away. I would find them under my breast area, in my groan area, and most recently on the back of my neck. I was unable to move with ease, for fear of the shooting pain that would come as a result. 

I wasn’t able to be wear, light colored clothing because of the fear of spontaneous draining. DRAINING!!!!!, now that I have mentioned draining, is that not the worst thing ever? 

When these gross, foul smelling abscesses drain pus, they seem to drain for days and sometimes weeks. Don’t get me wrong, I have to admit the best part of these flair ups is when they drain, that is because I no longer have pain (or as much pain). Even as I writing this I am in a great deal of pain waiting and hoping for the antibiotics will work this time, and bring this thing to a head.

Hidradentis suppurativa is very embarrassing diseases that no one can possibly understand unless they are living with it.

I have been suffering for the last 3 weeks with this insane abscess on the back of my neck. It grew to be the size of a golf ball. The infection spread almost the entire length of my neck. I had many, many sleepless nights in pain hoping and praying that the draining would start. So today it happened, the foul smell almost made me sick this time. But it feels so much better. I have to keep a towel around my neck because to much pus is draing out right now. Hopfully by tomorrow or Sunday I will be able to wear a gauze.
